Missing Traps – Can You Help?

Feral cats | Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and AttractionsSouthern New England Landcare is currently missing 10 Indian Myna bird traps and 3 fox/cat traps from its equipment for hire.

These traps are important tools for local pest management, and their return will help ensure ongoing support for landholders and community members tackling invasive species.

Women Gather for a Day of Storytelling and Connection

IMG 8800There was storytelling at its finest when a group of local women gathered in Guyra on May 27th for the Telling Your Story workshop with author Annabelle Brayley.

“The day had a special feel,” said Elizabeth Rosser from Southern New England Landcare.

“Annabelle shared her experience and practical advice on how to shape and share personal stories, sparking thoughtful discussion and reflection among attendees,” she said.

A community meeting will be held in Guyra on Wednesday 19 June, 1–3pm at the Guyra Bowling Club, and locals are encouraged to share their ideas.

Help Shape Uralla Shire’s Water Future

The first technical workshop will be held on the 18th of June at the Uralla Court House (with an online option available).

NSW Public Works will present key findings on local water and sewerage challenges and long-term water security.

Mens night outFollowing the overwhelming success of last year’s Men’s Night Out, Glen Innes is once again coming together to support, uplift, and connect around the important topic of men’s health.

This year’s event on Friday 13 June 2025 at the Glen Innes Services Club, promises another powerful and entertaining evening—offering warmth, great food, moving stories, and live music under one roof.

With the support of the Kayne Wells Memorial Fund, the Glen Innes Men’s Shed, White Rock Wind Farm, and the Glen Innes Services Club, the event continues to build momentum as a must-attend winter gathering in our community calendar.

The two-day Soil Biology Masterclass is designed to provide participants with the core knowledge and principles needed to incorporate soil biology and health into management practices to sustainably increase productivity and profitability.

Participants will learn about strategies to harness the life in soils and use the power of plant-soil-microbial relationships to unlock soil nutrients, and produce healthier, more nutritious plants.
