There is a new grant available to help landcare and producer groups improve biodiversity measurement and management skills.
This grant:
- highlights how improving environmental practices boosts agricultural production, conservation efforts, community well-being, supply chain reliability, and market access.
- helps support groups across Australia improve their understanding and management of natural assets on-farm by testing, implementing and evaluation practical initiatives that can restore biodiversity and or increase biodiversity values.
- helps advisors, producers, and landcare groups by providing training, field days, and on-ground trials to boost productivity, resilience, and market access.
Funding Available Projects can be delivered over 2-years or 3-years and can commence from July, 2025. At least 10 projects will be funded.
- 2-year projects should be to a maximum of $40,000 (ex-GST)
- 3-year projects should be to a maximum of $75,000 (ex-GST)
Projects must include on-ground activities or trials to improve farm biodiversity management. Groups should engage advisors or coordinators with suitable expertise to assist delivery of their projects. On-ground farm projects need to focus on protecting and improving natural resources or minimise impacts of food or fibre production on biodiversity.
