River Management Training at Uralla E-mail

On behalf of Border Rivers Gwydir CMA, Southern New England Landcare is hosting a River Management Training course in Uralla on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st November 9am - 4pm. Presented by Red Frog Environmental Solutions, the training is aimed at land managers that would like to increase their skills and knowledge, and apply this knowledge to the management of creeks and rivers that are in their care.

Wollomombi Farm Family Gathering! E-mail
Members of the Wollomombi Community are invited to a farm family gathering for a barbecue lunch and drinks on Saturday 22nd November starting at 12pm. There is a great line-up of entertainment with Bush Poet Gordon Edmonds, facepainting for the kids, and drought recovery information sessions with Clare Edwards (DPI). Uralla Creeklands Rehabilitation: Funding Available E-mail

Funding is now available for works on the Uralla & Rocky Creek lands to all landholders on these creeks from the headwaters down stream to Mt Mutton. Southern New England Landcare has secured the funding from the Border Rivers Gwydir CMA.

Local Youth LEAD Sustainability Workshop E-mail

The youth of Armidale have the opportunity to be a part of an innovative environmental/social action and leadership training program in March of 2009. The program is designed to give young people the skills, motivation and opportunities to lead the way to a sustainable future in their own communities and beyond. Youth LEAD Armidale will be held from the 27th February until the 1st March 2009.
