    Koala transport - seeking help

Koala seen by a Landholder at Herbert ParkA koala in care at Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, is now ready to be released this week. He is being returned to the Inverell area.

Whilst we have someone in mind, who has volunteered to transport the koala over the weekend, it is preferable if he could be released as early as possible.

So, we are still seeking any expressions of interest for a volunteer travelling from Port Macquarie to Inverell in the next few days. It is strongly recommended that the animal is transported direct, avoiding changing cages and “stop overs” if possible. All care must be taken not to stress the animal in transit.

The cage would need to be picked up at Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, to be received by the carer in Inverell.
