Beef Cattle Welfare Benchmarking - seeking trial participants

    cattle benchmark

The CSIRO Animal Welfare Team in Armidale, in conjunction with NSW DPI and MLA, are embarking on a joint venture to develop a science-based animal welfare benchmarking program for the beef cattle industry.

To maintain market access, factors such as animal welfare are becoming increasingly important. The team is seeking the participation of approximately 20 NSW beef producers and another 20 from across Australia, who will contribute to this pioneering research and help to develop a practical tool for producers and industry. Producers need to onboard by mid/end of March.

Click this link for the full brochure and guide to the Expression of Interestif you would like to take part. The main point of contact is Jessica Monk and EOI's are to be sent to Jessica.Monk@csiro.au. Or, if you would like to discuss your participation in the project or have any questions, you can give Jess a call on 0407 935 965.
