Dr Adrian Zammit resigned from his position as CEO of Landcare NSW, on 30 July to take up a new role as Deputy Director General- Business Excellence with the NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI), commencing on Monday 30 August 2021.

'Over the past three and a half years, Adrian has worked energetically in collaboration with the Landcare NSW Council, Executive and the team to grow the capacity and professionalism at Landcare NSW and is credited with instilling a “business mind, social heart mindset” in the organisation. Under his leadership, Landcare NSW has transformed into a leader for all state and territory Landcare peak bodies across Australia.

During his tenure, he has been responsible for significantly growing Landcare NSW’s revenue and forming 14 new partnerships with government and non-government organisations such as the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, Saving our Species, the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust, Local Land Services, OzFish Unlimited, Gotch4Life Foundation and South Pole.

Landcare NSW will now commence its search for a new CEO to carry on with the work that is underway and to continue to build the capacity of Landcare in NSW in partnership with the local, district and regional Landcare groups we represent.

Over the coming months, Adrian will continue to provide support and a hand-over to the Landcare NSW team and the new CEO to ensure that Landcare NSW’s transition is seamless.
