Date: Sunday, 10th October, 2021
Location: Ken Jones Park on western side of the creek accessed off Dumaresq Street.
Time: 8.30am
Our next working bee will be weeding, at Ken Jones Park on Sunday, 10 October. We will set up on western side of creek.
There will be some chainsaw work creating a lot of material to be loaded for removal. We have been loaned a small to medium tip truck for our clean up. Also, there are plenty of alternate jobs to do, including rubbish pick up, flood debris removal, small cutting and pasting jobs. We will spread out along the creek and maybe extend into Elizabeth Park to allow for appropriate distancing for COVID-19 requirements as well as general work safety. The site lends itself to spreading or splitting the group, if required. So should we have more than 20, sending a second group into Elizabeth Park is an option. Depending on numbers, we may have to have staggered sessions for morning tea/lunch.
If possible, please bring your own gloves so that we are not risking contaminating the AURG gear.
Details for working bee are as follows:
What to bring: BYO long sleeved shirt, long pants and sturdy boots. Along with your gloves, please don't forget a broad brim hat and sunscreen.
Covid Reminder: Bear in mind the current requirements for face masks, social distancing and group size, whilst working and eating. We will allocate tasks and eating arrangements depending upon numbers.
AURG will provide equipment, morning tea and a BBQ lunch for a gold coin donation.
