    ATG Community Working Bee

IMG 3087 AURG Tree Planting 320p Armidale Tree Group Inc, incorporating Citizens Wildlife Corridors.

Where: Unnamed Lane between Trelawney Road and Arundel Drive North
    When: Sunday, 7th November 2021
    Time: 8.30am (ADST)

    Activities
    1. Blue Wren to Trelawney: This area was “cleaned up” last season. The group will go back over it “cutting and painting” any perennials that were missed or have regrown. There may be some annual weeds to remove by hand. It is expected that the results of a trial approach to killing ivy that avoids spraying and avoids killing non-targeted species, will be able to be seen.

    2. Blue Wren to Arundel: This is the new area to be tackled. The group will again be cutting and painting invasive perennials and considering what other work needs to be done.

Please wear: Face mask, long sleeved shirt, long trousers, hat, sturdy footwear, gloves.
Observe any COVID Safe working requirements that may be in place at the time.

Bring: sunscreen, water bottle, and a mug for morning tea of course. You might also want to bring something to kneel on or wear knee pads as you will probably spend a fair amount of time on your knees.

Hand tools: will be provided (no power tools). If you wish to bring along your own secateurs and loppers that could be handy.

Parking: On this occasion, please park at the end of Blue Wren Road. If there is no-one at the gate to meet you, go through the pedestrian access and walk north about 100metres to the “four ways” where the organisers will set up a base.
