New funding in 2022 for riverbank restoration work

AdamDugaldThe $3 million Landcare Small Grants Program will give Landcare groups across NSW the opportunity to apply for grants of up to $50,000 to carry out riverbank restoration work.
Applications are expected to be open by early 2022.

Waterways across the state have suffered cumulative damage from recent natural disasters and seasonal conditions, such as drought, bushfires and floods.

The program will fund on-ground projects such as riverbank and stream restoration, on-farm erosion works and tree planting, to help mitigate erosion and ensure riverbanks and the wider ecosystems are healthy.

Local Land Services will work with Landcare groups to administer the grants and support them to deliver the on-ground works.

If you wish to indicate early interest in the program or already have a project in mind, submit an expression of interest here for any updates on the program.
