Become a Resilience Leader for disaster impacted Australians. Upcoming workshops will be facilitated by Relationships Australia NSW.
Walcha: 22nd & 23rd February 2022
Tenterfield: 11 & 12 March 2022
The trauma of the Black Summer bushfires is still fresh for many, with drought, floods and pandemic bringing extra challenges.
As part of a new project to support rural Australians in bushfire-affected areas throughout NSW, Relationships Australia is recruiting community leaders to their free training workshops, to enable you to make a positive difference in the lives of your fellow community members.
Walcha: 22nd & 23rd February 2022
Tenterfield: 11th & 12th March 2022
Deepwater: 1st & 2nd April 2022
Ebor: 13th & 14th May 2022
The workshops are split into two components. Day 1 will deliver an all-round training in the disaster cycle and community recovery. Day 2 will focus on developing a project for your local community.
You will learn how to build resilience in individuals, groups and communities and be supported to develop a project plan. Ongoing support will be provided for people who participate in Day 2, in the form of mentorship, learning circles and access to resources.
Workshops size will be limited to 12 participants. If you are unable to attend for two days, please do get in touch with the organisers so options can be discussed.
