    Koala Feed Tree ID Training Workshop

    KTree ID wkshop320Southern New England Landcare invites our Koala Carers to join us for an informative Eucalypt Identification Training Workshop!

    When: Thursday 31st March 2022
    Time: 9.30am – 12.30pm
    Where: Armidale Tree Group, 80 Mann Street, Armidale.

    Numbers are limited. Please be sure you book your seat.

    N.B. Due to popular demand, a new evening session has just been added (31 March) from 5.30pm - 8.30pm. Click here for this event.

    The workshop will be run by Stringybark Ecological and is designed to provide skills and knowledge to those interested or involved in koala care.

    The workshop will cover:

    • basic eucalypt anatomy,
    • bark types,
    • juvenile and adult leaves
    • buds,
    • fruits, and
    • taking voucher specimens for identification.


    The workshop will include morning tea, and a Eucalypt identification resource book for participants to take away.

    This initiative has been made possible through the Northern Tablelands Koala Partnership Project, hosted by Southern New England Landcare Ltd, and funded by the NSW Government.

    There is also the opportunity to connect this knowledge with an upcoming Native Seed Collection Workshop on the 6-7 April, hosted by the Northern Tablelands Local Land Service. It is designed to help participants collect and propagate native seed stock for plant propagation. More info coming about this event soon.
