What an incredible way to spend a couple of days, at the Landcare Adventure 2022 in May, hosted by the fabulous Granite Borders Landcare team! If you didn't have the opportunity to attend this year, I highly recommend you don't miss this special event when it rolls around again.
Below is GBLC's summary and wrap up of their event.
"A massive thank you to our panel of experts and speakers; Dr Stephen Debus, Euan Belson, Rob McCormack, Dr Sarah Mika, Candice Larkin, Paul Revie, Dr John Hunter, Geoff Bassett and Leith Hawkins. Seeing the large number of landholders and land carers at each of the sessions was fantastic and hosting them at venues across all points of the compass meant this beautiful town of Tenterfield was truly on show.
Those that braved the weather and ventured out on the walk to Curry’s Gap were not only inspired and educated by our ecologist, Dr Hunter; they were fortunate to have Rob McCormack and Geoff Bassett on hand adding their insight and knowledge. A massive thank you also to Kerry who welcomed those intrepid hikers and highlighted the importance and cultural significance of the site.
To each of our venues; Tenterfield Golf Club, Glenrock Gardens and Arrajay Downs, thank you for your professionalism, exceptional service and great food. How lucky are we to be able to showcase such a wonderful and diverse range of locations?
A special thank you also to Landcare NSW’s CEO, Turlough Guerin and Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons for their contribution. Travelling up from Sydney their presence and speeches ensured this Landcare Adventure was one that would be remembered for a long time to come."
A jointly funded project by the Australian and NSW Governments.
