NSW Quad bike safety improvement program

    quadbikeOperate a Side-by-Side Utility Vehicle

    Where: Tamworth
    When: 11th & 12th August 2022

Free* quad bike and side-by-side vehicle (SSV) training is offered to eligible farmers through the NSW Quad Bike Safety Improvement Program. This training is for groups of six or more, available across regional and remote NSW and includes a free helmet for those completing the quad bike course.

Quad bike and SSVs are useful farm vehicles. Quad bikes are a leading cause of injury on NSW farms. The NSW quad bike safety improvement program is an initiative of SafeWork NSW, offering support to NSW farmers to undertake harm prevention activities associated with on-farm use of quad bikes. The program includes a small business quad bike safety rebate and training package to reduce deaths and injuries on NSW farms.

Safer than a quad bike, but still carrying its own risks, the side-by-side is becoming the “go to” vehicle for many jobs on the farm. This one-day course through Tocal College will help you get the most from your side-by-side.

The course aims to develop knowledge and skills in:

    • preparing a side by side utility vehicle for use
    • operating a side by side utility vehicle
    • side by side utility vehicle shut-down procedures.
