Expressions of Interest are being sought by Rural Aid to attend a special Rural Community event.
** Limited places available.
When: Tuesday, 27th September 2022 (from 11am) – Thursday 29th September 2022 (until 1.30pm)
Where: University of New England, Armidale.
Rural Aid is offering a dozen farmers an all expenses paid, three-day workshop to help advance the family farm.
Take some time off your property to think, plan, review your goals and build new skills at the University of New England in Armidale between 27-29 September.
This free event includes accommodation, meals and childcare, thanks to support from Rural Aid, the University of New England and the SQNNSW Innovation Hub, through funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund.
The three-day program covers:
- the way decisions are made on the farm
- understanding weather forecasts to better manage climate challenges
- matching stocking rate to feed supply
- supplementary feeding of livestock to meet production goals
- investment in new infrastructure to better manage drought and other climate challenges
- relationships within the family and making better decisions as a family; and
- research and development at UNE SMART Farms.
Rural Aid encourages multiple family members to attend, so that the whole family can benefit. Attendees are required to arrange and pay for their own travel to and from Armidale.
