E Blast – Funding Opportunity for Landholders in the Harnham – Kentucky district for trees and fencing.
Deadline for receipt of EOIs: Friday 14 APRIL 2023
Dear Landholder,
Southern New England Landcare is currently working with Transport NSW and Armidale Tree Group to work with private landholders in the Harnham – Kentucky district to restore vegetation on private landholdings as part of the “vegetation offsets” required from the New England Highway Roadworks at the Glenburnie Road intersection.
This project offers landholders with funding and labour to prepare, plant and maintain up to 3000 local native trees on your property. Planting projects are aimed at supporting between 1000 and 3000 trees on an individual landholding, meaning there are limited opportunities.
Preparation for planting will commence in April, 2023 with plantings scheduled for October. This work will be undertaken by Armidale Tree Group.
ATG will also provide maintenance to help support the plants in the first few years of establishment. SNEL will work with you to map the area you wish to plant and prepare the Landholder Management Agreements. These LMA’s are not legally binding and operate on a 10 year “goodwill” agreement.
If you are interested in this project in the timeframe given, please register your interest through this Expression of Interest form (PDF) or Word document version.
EOIs must be received no later than: Friday 14 April 2023.
Please email your completed EOI form directly to Des Andersen. Email: des.andersen@snelandcare.org.au
