Southern New England Landcare Team Changes

After a rigorous interview process with an independent panel and assessment, the following new team members joined our organisation in June 2023:

    • Elizabeth Rosser from the Guyra area, is our new Sustainable Agriculture Project Officer, (the role includes the Malpas Catchment Coordinator). Elizabeth works Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and we are hoping one of those days may be located in Guyra (we are working on that!).
    • Janet Hodge from the Guyra area is our new Receptionist, working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the front of our office, and
    • Janeen Robb from Armidale is a new Project Officer assisting across a range of projects.

On 30 June 2023, at the conclusion of several multi-year projects, Southern New England Landcare's Koala Conservation Project Officer, Des Andersen, Local Landcare Coordinator, Alex Hunter, and Sustainable Agriculture Project Officer, Aggie Seiler, moved on from their roles. Continuing staff include Karen Zirkler and Struan Ferguson.

The Board and staff would like to thank Des, Alex and Aggie for their contributions to the work of the organisation during their time with Southern New England Landcare and wish them both all the best for the future.

To ensure it has the right mix of personnel to carry it through the next 3-5 years, and while it awaits further grant funding confirmation, Southern New England Landcare is strategically reviewing current and proposed projects and associated roles.
