A new national farm succession survey, led by the University of New England (UNE), aims to uncover why some families navigate the process successfully while others struggle.
The FarmTransfer survey, the first of its kind in 20 years, seeks 700+ respondents to provide data-driven insights into succession planning.
The findings will help farm families, industry groups, and consultants improve the process and may lead to a practical guide for those facing succession challenges.
Dr. Lucie Newsome from UNE’s Business School emphasizes the importance of broad participation, urging farmers from all sectors and regions to share their experie
nces—good or bad—to help future generations.
