Showing our Native Plants at the Armidale Show, 7th-8th March 2026

Prostanthera teretifolia Turpentine mint bush Sue Jaggar 320pThe Armidale Show is less than a month away.

This is a great opportunity to showcase some of the great native plants you have growing in your garden and so inspire others to include them in their own garden.

The procedure is quite simple. On the computer go to Armidale Show 2025 and click on  2025 Schedules. Read the Conditions of Entry and you can print the general Entry Form. Details for the Flower section are in Section 20.

Click on Section 20 Horticulture- Cut Flowers  - this will take you to the page currently called Section 17- Cut and Decorative Flowers  ( a bit odd this but that is the one you want). Work down the page; the details you need are in Native Section, numbers 9-17.

There are 6 listed flower types – Grevillea, Crowea, Callistemon, Kangaroo Paws, Correa and AOV (any other variety) and/or you can display a posy, foliage or a potted plant. You can take your own appropriately sized glass jars or use ones provided there, which tend to be rather large. There are several awards to be won including vouchers to spend at the Armidale Tree Group Nursery which are donated by APS Armidale.

As set out on the first web page, you can email your entry form or present it and pay on Thursday 6th when you take in your specimens to set up between 6.30am-9am. Cost is $2 per entry. Collection of prizes and plants is done on Sunday 9th 9-11.00am.

We will happily answer any question you have, and you can get us via email.
