To celebrate the Spring re-opening of Saumarez Homestead after a short Winter break, the Saumarez Spring Garden Fair will be held on Sunday 17th September 2016 from 10am to 4pm at Saumarez Homestead: 230 Saumarez Road Armidale.
Free entry to the gardens and grounds.
Landscape designers, gardeners and writers will be presenting special lectures from 11am in the Saumarez Function Centre.
As a special treat, there will be guided tours of the gardens and ground floor of the main Saumarez Homestead which will be decorated with flowers from Mary’s Garden, the Picking Garden and from Volunteers’ gardens. (Gold coin donation for house tour).
The Heritage Rose Garden Saumarez Homestead will be open to visitors along with the other formal and cottage gardens.
Lissa Kathe Rummery and her friends will provide music in the afternoon.
There will also be garden stalls, garden sculptures and artworks as well as Devonshire teas on the Homestead Verandahs, BBQ and the Saumarez Café will be open for light lunches and Daily Ritual specialty teas and coffee.
