Our dear friend and long-term Southern New England Landcare member, Helen lost her battle with cancer on April 30 this year. She was in Yass District Hospital, being looked after by a wonderful team, pain free, and having just seen all her children the Saturday before.
A Celebration of Thanksgiving was held on Friday May 18, 12 Noon, at Piddington’s Funeral Chapel, Uralla Rd, Armidale. Donations in lieu of flowers to the McGrath Foundation, as Helen could not say enough kind words about them; they make such a difference every day to those fighting breast cancer.
Helen loved her art, garden and nature, and has left a wonderful impact on those she worked with over the years. Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.
