The dry conditions are of concern and many of our recent plantings (last 3 years) are in severe stress. We have permission to pump water from Yagoonda Gully / Dumaresq Creek for watering these. Bruce, Gordon and Bryan made a start on this on Wednesday 28th August.
We will be commencing our spring working bees on Sunday 8th September. Due to the continuing dry we will focus on mulching and watering the sites downstream of Niagara Street. Details for working bee are as follows:
Time: 8.30 am
Date: Sunday 8th September, 2019
Location: Dumaresq Creek, northern side and downstream of Niagara Street, accessed off Northcott Street via Erskine Street or along bicycle way.
What to bring: BYO long sleeved shirt, long pants and sturdy boots. Please also bring gloves, broad brim hat and sunscreen. AURG will provide equipment.
Morning tea and BBQ lunch will be provided.
Looking forward to your continued involvement with AURG activities along our Dumaresq Creeklands.
