Did you know that Northern Tablelands Local Land Services has a ripper-mounder and a grass seed harvester that are available to landholders to use for their projects?
There has been a recent flurry of activity amongst landholders wishing to use the equipment. The service is provided by NT Local Land Services to any landholder in their region for free. Landholders wishing to use the equipment are invited to follow the procedure outlined below:
- Landholders ring any of our offices or email an enquiry via enquiry.northerntablelands@lls.nsw.gov.au
- A member of the Environmental team will respond indicating availability. Availability is dependent on demand – sometimes immediate sometimes 6 weeks or so ahead.
- A time slot is booked in for their use of the equipment – normally 5 days to 2 weeks (max) – they cannot guarantee times dependent on return of equipment on time.
- The equipment is normally made available at the closest NTLLS depot: Tenterfield, Glen Innes, Inverell or Armidale; however, during COVID19 landholders are asked to collect from the previous user’s location.
- A one page Equipment Hire form iscompleted and landholders are sent Operational Instructions and notified of pick up time, day, and place.
- Currently Landholders are sent an email observing transfer of equipment (virus) protocols before pick-up.
