The Northern Tablelands Healthy Rivers Program will improve habitat, re-establish and protect remnant native vegetation which will improve water quality and river health. On ground works projects with landholders are now available.
Landholders are being asked to submit Expressions of Interest to help identify and support natural resource priorities on-farm under their Healthy Rivers Program. People with small on-farm wetlands will also be offered small grants for on-ground works. Through implementation of projects to manage grazing, control weeds and feral animals, can help people ensure the wetlands continue to provide valuable ecosystem services.
The program is funded through NSW Catchment Action and the Australian Government's National Landcare Programme.
