Boarding Scholarships for Isolated Students (BSIS) assist eligible students from rural areas who are required to board to attend NSW public specialist high schools.
Boarding Scholarships for Isolated Students (BSIS) provides financial support for eligible students boarding away from home or residential fees to access education.
Scholarships are available for students in Years 7 to 12 who are disadvantaged by a low family income and geographical isolation.
You can apply for a scholarship on the NSW Education website if:
have been accepted either at a NSW public specialist school or an agricultural boarding school
 need to board at a school term hostel to access a NSW public secondary school.
Students cannot apply if they receive:
Assistance for Isolated Children (AIC)
 ABSTUDY
 Youth Allowance from Centrelink.
