The Armidale Waldorf School students are learning loads about koalas & becoming our community leaders in caring for our local fauna.

Back in March, our Koala Coordinator, Brooke Robertson was doing what she loves best; presenting to a mixed K-2 Class at the Armidale Waldorf School. The group had 35 students, followed by another class of 3rd graders with 17 students. The following days it was the 4 graders of 24 students, and the combined 5/6 class of 28 students.
At the beginning of this month, the Armidale Waldorf School stepped up and held a cake stall to raise money for the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.
Leading by example, they are now discussing other ideas to help protect koalas including protecting the trees in the school grounds, keeping dogs on leads and signs to warn traffic to take care.
