The Armidale Tree Group nursery is short of Acacia (wattle) seed. If you have access to fruiting wattle trees/shrubs in your yard, would you be able to collect some and drop it into the nursery? It would greatly appreciated.
They will accept any species (except A. baileyana - Cootamundra Wattle), but have a special need for A. floribunda.
To be useable, there are a few points to note:
- A minimum of a shopping bag full of pods (a little bit of branch material is ok) is required.
- Seed must be ripe, no green pods (see attached photo for ripe seed pod example)
- Seed must be accompanied with a voucher specimen (about 20cm of the plant for ID purposes).
