Southern New England Landcare recently promoted the idea of forming a new Landcare Group around caring for Mother of Ducks Lagoon at Guyra. You can view the article here.
We are now happy to announce a date for a community gathering, lagoon side, with guest speakers and a sausage sizzle!
Join Southern New England Landcare members and friends to hear from:
- Douglas Smith (NPWS) – History of Mother of Ducks Nature Reserve
- Darrell Ahoy (NPWS) – An indigenous perspective of the Reserve
- Deborah Bower (UNE) – What’s so special about the ecology of Mother of Ducks Lagoon?
- Karen Zirkler (SNELandcare) – How can we help Mother of Ducks flourish into the future?
The aim of the event is to see how much interest there might be in forming a new Landcare group focussing on the Lagoon and the reserve.
There will be a free sausage sizzle following the speakers.
