Landcare Australia has opened the 2025 General Jeffery Soil Health Award and is inviting landcarers across the country to nominate friends and colleagues who make an impact in soil health.
Who has ACTUALLY made a difference in soil health?
Who has ACTUALLY changed the way you think about soil health?
What groups have ACTUALLY been the most effective in improving soil health?
What organisations are ACTUALLY leading the way in soil health initiatives?
This is your chance to recognise them.
Back for the 3rd successive round, the prestigious General Jeffery Soil Health Award recognises the work of people who care for soil health and who are educating or inspiring others.
The $20,000 prize will provide invaluable support to the winner to help extend their work in soil health.
Important changes in the eligibility criteria – who can be nominated in 2025
• Individuals
• Landcare and other community-led environmental groups, and
• Organisations, research agencies and academics, government agencies who are actively involved in activities to protect and improve soil health.
The good news:
The 2025 General Jeffery Soil Health Award winner will be presented at the 2025 National Landcare Awards gala dinner.
The award winner will receive $20,000 (ex GST) in funding to complete an agreed soils project.
The prize includes a travel package to attend the 2025 National Landcare Awards gala dinner for the award ceremony on Tuesday 23 September 2025.
We are encouraging you to help us bring soil health to the forefront of critical biodiversity and environmental conversations and nominate a colleague or organisation that you believe deserves national recognition. Make a nomination on their behalf!
Nominations close Monday 31 March 2025.
