Southern New England Landcare (SNEL) now has a presence on the GiveNow platform, making contributions from donors easier than ever before.
SNEL CEO, Karen Zirkler said, "We've operated almost solely on grants in the past, but our board decided during it's 2025 strategic planning work, that it's time we started tapping into philanthropic giving as a means of funding some of the important work we do."
"Our first trial of the platform is for our 'Koala Kits for Kids' cause," said Ms Zirkler.
"This project is aiming to raise $5000 so our Koala Conservation Project Officer can develop educational resources and use then with children in the classroom and at special events," she said.
"We also know that one of the fastest growing ways of giving is through bequests in wills, so we encourage folks to think about giving to the Southern New England Landcare Gift Fund, which is also on our GiveNow profile," she said.
The GiveNow platform has been operating for more than 20 years, and now supports more than 6000 community organisations across Australia, with more than $230 million raised for those organisations from donors.
"This is an impressive track record, and Southern New England Landcare is very pleased to be partnering with GiveNow," said Ms Zirkler.
