Give Now - Koala Kits for Kids

    About this causecover:

Koalas are an iconic species for Australia, but they are endangered due to habitat loss and fragmentation, climate change, disease, vehicle strike, bushfires and dog attacks.

With your help, we can educate kids in the Armidale Region of Koala Significance (ARKS), about how to reduce these threats so that as a community, we can protect this beloved species for the enjoyment of all.

Koala Awareness Training Kits for Kids will provide resource materials we can take to events and school classroom sessions across the ARKS, to build understanding, knowledge and a sense of empowerment among our youth.

By making a donation, you can help us achieve the following:

    • $1500 allows us to print the education materials included in the kit.
    • $700 allows us to purchase the sustainble cotton 'library' bags to hold the kits.
    • $250 allows our Koala Conservation Project Officer to host a koala booth at a local cultural event where many kids gain a first hand experience.
    • $200 allows our Koala Conservation Project Officer to host a koala facepainting and education session with 25 kids.
    • $100 allows us to run a Koala feed tree identification session with a classroom of kids.
    • $50 allows our Koala Conservation Project Officer to spend half an hour in a classroom using the kits with kids.
