The Water Resilience and Sustainable Mangement for Homes and community Villages of the Southern New England project will drive engagement, education, and leadership in regional climate solutions by empowering households and communities to adopt sustainable, site-specific water practices.
Focusing on urban and peri-urban areas, the project responds to increasing challenges around water security, runoff, and climate resilience. With the guidance of sustainability expert Jerry Coleby-Williams, participants will explore practical approaches to rainwater harvesting, stormwater infiltration, greywater recycling, and soil improvement. These strategies reduce demand on drinking water supplies, lower emissions associated with water infrastructure, and help landscapes adapt to drought and extreme weather events.
