Fenced but Not Forgotten: A Guide to the Ongoing Management of Conservation Areas is a practical land management guide (about 56 pages) developed by Central West Local Land Services to help landholders manage fenced native vegetation and habitat remnants on their property. It emphasises that simply fencing an area off isn’t enough — ongoing management is needed to control grazing pressure, manage weeds and pest animals, encourage natural regeneration and plant diversity, address soil erosion or land degradation, and monitor ecological change over time. The guide is aimed at helping property owners steward conservation areas effectively for long‑term ecological health.
