Calling All Young Artists!
Southern New England Landcare invites kids and youth aged 3–19 years to unleash their creativity and celebrate New England’s amazing threatened species through art with our Brushes for Biodiversity competition.
Whether you love to draw, paint, or write, this is your chance to make an impression and raise awareness about our unique local biodiversity!
How to Participate:
1. Pick up an art pack at the Southern New England Landcare office or a local pick up point (Guyra, Uralla and Walcha pick up points coming soon) or use materials you already have at home. Packs include:
2. Choose your favorite Australian threatened species from the New England region.
3. Create an artwork (paint, pencil, watercolour, collage, or digital) or write a story about your chosen species.
4. Submit your entry to your local library or the Southern New England Landcare office by 31st January 2025.

Awards will be given in each age catergory for:
Winners’ artworks will be displayed at the Southern New England Landcare office and Landchat 2025!
Why Participate?
This competition is a fun way to learn about and showcase the incredible plants and animals of New England, many of which need our help to thrive.
