Delivered over two days, this workshop combines presentations, group discussion and time in the field to build skills in reading and managing rural landscapes.

Observing and interpreting terrain, water movement, soils and biodiversity
Using maps and tools to assess your property
Climate influences on landscapes and farm businesses
The role of soils in supporting landscape function
Assessing landscape condition and identifying key issues
Practical landscape regeneration options, including:
Hydrology and soil management
Biodiversity
Grazing and cropping systems
Prioritising actions and selecting appropriate management responses
A mix of indoor and field-based sessions
Practical examples and case studies
Opportunities to apply concepts in a real landscape setting
Information to support longer-term property planning
